Thanks for the opportunity to share my love for nursing and honey bees with you.  I grew up on a farm in Texas and after many years of traveling and living in the cities I have returned to my roots.  Honey bees have always fascinated me even as a little girl.  It wasn’t until I had some hives of my own that I truly learned to appreciate them.  I believe the time during and after Covid took a huge toll on healthcare, especially the bedside nurses.  Working with my hive one day and thinking about the challenges that nurses are facing, I started comparing the little honey bee and how it strives to help the hive survive to being a nurse and our struggles and achievements.
